Birdwatching course on Monte Baldo

From 10.10.2019 to 13.10.2019

Monte Baldo, in addition to being considered the "Garden of Europe" for its many endemic plants, is also very rich in faunal species including numerous birds. In the area of the Refuge M. Baldo, around 50 bird species nest, including the golden eagle, the black woodpecker, the gray-billed woodpecker, the small aberla and the yellow bunting. But M. Baldo is also affected by important migration routes, especially during post-reproductive migration, during which birds coming from North-Eastern Europe go to the African wintering quarters.

During the course the following topics will be addressed: recognition of birds and their references, observation of the autumn migration phenomenon, biodiversity and forest bioindicators, positioning of camera traps aimed at monitoring mammals, tracing and other presence indicators, visits to the most forests natural del Baldo, dendrochronology.
